I recently had issues with my water heater and central heat. I submitted a maintenance request. Greg and the RACM staff did a great job addressing the issues. They communicated with me every step of the way. They were able to get water heater working same day and made sure I had a space heater to keep my place warm and even let me know that I could reach out anytime if I needed another. The next day Greg and a HVAC specialist came to make sure everything was working even though the problem was not a quick fix. Thanks again to Greg and the entire Staff at The Retreat at Cheyenne Mountain!

We love our apartment so far! We are avid outdoors people so the location is perfect for us. The office staff have been great, Sydney has been really helpful. I couldn't ask for a better view and it is overall pretty quiet here. The only thing I would ask for is a hot tub and new equipment in the gym. I would definitely recommend living here!

Been living here for over a year and a half and it’s super cute. My building has always been quiet and overlooks the open space. The office personnel have always been polite and get back to me in a timely manor. The buildings are definitely in need of some TLC (leaky faucets, old appliances & paint comes off cabinets almost immediately). The valet garbage is mandatory but the folks who come to pick it up don’t go upstairs so you have to bring it down… kind of defeats the purpose. . It’s been over 24 hours since I submitted a maintenance request and not only did I not hear back, they closed out my previous work orders (that were not fixed) & couldn’t find my AC request. Super frustrating especially when it’s 86 degrees inside your apartment with no end in sight. The location is great though!! OKAY *EDIT* they did get back to me this morning ensuring a vendor will be out tomorrow and they’re installing portable AC unit for the meantime. Can totally live with that! Yay!

Shortly after we moved in the large patio glass door frame came off the glass. This happened early January. We called the front office early the next morning and maintenance was out within the hour to check the severity and for safety. Ms. Sandra, Jose, and Grayson were so helpful and concerned as this happened during a Colorado Springs cold snap. They were all very responsive did everything they could to push the work order through to have a glass replacement company come in as soon as possible. The front office, ladies, Miss Keyanna and Mrs. Kendall, kept us informed of expected delivery date. We are thankful to have such a great maintenance crew and supportive front office ladies.

Frist, I want to say that Retreat at Cheyenne Mountain Apartments are beautiful! The staff were incredibly welcoming, of the staff we spoke to, we found Justin to be particularly helpful, he went above and beyond for us. So, I was helping a family from Italy settle into Colorado Springs. We had visited quite a few different apartment buildings but agreed that Retreat at Cheyenne was the best! The family I was with came to visit the Leasing Office at the Retreat a few times, in order to ask questions and make sure they were making the right decision for them. During those visits, Justin helped us the most. Justin was patient, personable, and took the time to explain all the fees and options. He was attentive in his assistance to the family, while also juggling other appointments and assisting other residents who had come into the office. Justin is amazing and made the decision to choose Retreat at Cheyenne a no brainer! Thank you so much!

I have been living here for almost 3 years now and EVERYONE who I have dealt with in the office, during that time, have been outstanding! Sydney, who has been promoted to manager (and deserves it) has been exceptionally helpful to me in her whole time here. She genuinely cares about her tenants and has always been available to address any issues. This is a nice quiet community for one so large and they run it right! Maintenance has always been proactive and helpful and I will have to say that there have not been many real issues or problems living here. I've only needed maintenance once for a small issue and Spyvie was particularly helpful and friendly.

I've lived here over 3 years and it has been a great experience! It's a very quiet complex...never have had an issue with neighbors, noise etc. The location is amazing! Lots of hiking out my door to Stratton Open Space or a few minutes drive to Cheyenne Canon! Downtown, Manitou, and OCC very close by! This is also a very dog friendly place and there are several dog parks a short drive away. The views are amazing! I love opening my blinds and seeing the mountains every morning! We just moved in month ago and a few problems with maintenance work. Management was very friendly and let the maintenance crew get on to fix problems. We had painting issues that peeling off cabinet and they did very poor job whoever worked on before. The maintenance came(Jeremy) and took care of problems very delightfully. He was very polite and aware of existing problems and is going to solve one problem which was out of his limitation so he is going to reach a professional person to solve the problem. I am happy to let the management know that you have very good maintenance crew. Jeremy did excellent job today. Thank you Jeremy for your good job.

Came back to edit! ________________________________ Lived here 2 years. I've had more contact with the maintenance team than anyone se and they are ALWAYS helpful and SO friendly. The pool is huge, Amazon lockers are a great perk, the surrounding neighborhood is a nice place to walk with frequent deer and occasional bears. You can walk/bike to Stratton Open Space in minutes. The views are great. Snow removal is good and they just fixed up the parking lot. The gym is okay. The business center printing is very convenient. Really wish there was recycling and a hot tub!! ☹ During my time here, my license plate was stolen off of my car (even though there is nightly security here). The apartment nor the security company offered any meaningful help or remediation. Another time, the mail room was broken into and the mail for the entire complex was stolen. Mail had to be picked up at the post office for about a month. Parking is not sufficient to support the number of residents and is not well enforced (someone has a bike trailer taking up a spot, an abandoned car sat outside the building for 3+months). Trash/dumpster is also not sufficient to support the number of residents. I would also corroborate the other reviewer who said there was lots of undocumented damage when they moved in. My apartment had lots of minor damages I was worried about being blamed for and the floor was filthy. The transgressions above are forgivable I suppose, however I am moving due to a very stiff rent increase (spring/summer 2022).

I lived here for a year while looking for my "Forever Home" and even though I found a home for sale, I was sad to leave. I had the best 3 bedroom apartment #1812 with the best view of the mountains. It is a very peaceful place and I couldn't wait to arrive for my weekly long week end "retreats", (how fitting!). It's a peaceful community and the best unpopulated hiking trails in the Stratton Preserve and forest are accessible on foot. Every favorite restaurant, shop, carwash, coffee shop etc. are within 5 minutes and the traffic is never congested. I bought a house in Broadmoor but still park here to hike (hope it's OK?). Sydney Hughes is my favorite staff member and I'll miss seeing her. Always extremely polite and eager to assist. I remember how tough it was to find a place at the start of COVID-19 and I ran into many disappointments with other facilities until I walked in at The Retreat at Cheyenne mountain office. Sydney was so kind and that's what I needed that day....so I signed right away. I'll miss "My Retreat".

Lived here for more than 5 years with family and never had a serious problem. Excellent location, kids walked to the best schools in Springs. The original appliances were old, but the management was quite responsive and bought us new appliances or changed them whenever we had trouble. Moving out and getting deposit back was far less stressful than my experiences with other apartment complexes before.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the retreat!!! This is truly the best location for living in Colorado Springs, with easy access to Bear Creek, North Cheyenne Cañon, Stratton Open Space, the Broadmoor, and pretty much everything else. Though on the West Side of town, it’s still surprising centrally located and only about a 10-15 minute drive from any hot spot. Additionally, the staff are gracious and friendly, and unbelievably helpful. I’ve never had maintenance requests handled so quickly and efficiently, they get the job done fast and well. The units are unique as far as floor plan and layout, which was what attracted us there to begin with...massive kitchen was really the highlight. You cannot go wrong living here. Worth every cent...I wish we didn’t have to leave!

We only lived here for a few months while we were house hunting, but we loved this complex and community! The size of our apartment was perfect, and we loved that we had an attached garage. We found that there weren’t many options for garages at most other communities. The area was overall quiet and felt safe. My family enjoyed going on walks in the neighborhood, as there were beautiful mountain views. Great staff and cute apartments. They’re slowly renovating and I lived in an apartment prior to renovation and even that was great. The staff is very accommodating to military that are PCSing, returning from deployment, and have to go to extended field problems. I rented with them for two years and never had an issue. The complex is located right near an awesome open space that is great for hiking or doing trail runs.

So friendly! The folks at the front desk are so helpful, pleasant and professional. Megan and Ashly welcomed us by first name after our initial visit and answered all our concerns. They were super patient with our changing plans. A couple glitches when we moved in but their handyman Abi was over in minutes to get us up and running even though it was Sunday! He was fun and helpful too. Great crew and the townhouse layout really works and was super clean and nontoxic feeling. Thanks for being the easiest part of our move!

Living at "The Retreat" has been amazing, it has all the amenities you would need to pass time, a gym thats 24/7 a lovely pool and a theater room that has popcorn to watch all the great games. The apartments here are lovely and very spacious, and a great dog park close by for your fur babies. The Leasing Agents here are extremely helpful as well and kind. I highly recommend living here, you wont regret it.

Never had an issue. It’s quiet and the area is nice. I love that the property is big and spread out, you aren’t sitting on top of each other like most places. The apartments aren’t brand new but they are maintained well. The staff is friendly and they have resident events - who doesn’t love free food! My only complaint is the dog park seems small. We have all this space and everyone here seems to have a dog, making it better would be nice.

New staff is very kind. Ladies at the front are always smiling and have handled any issue I’ve had. The manager is responsive and personable. My apartment is large, I have a ton of kitchen cabinets, and a big garden tub. I enjoy living here and don’t plan on leaving.

We had a great experience working with Ashlee to coordinate a viewing of the model, as well as a viewing of the unit we would be getting prior to signing the lease. I’ve read reviews about how they say the unit isn’t available right now and then when you sign the lease, it’s not what you expected. If you do your due diligence prior to signing, there will be no unexpected issues. Ashlee was honest and upfront with us and even got our apartment ready a week early so that we could check it out. So far so good! Amazing view of the mountains and honestly the price is great for everything you get. Obviously, a renovated unit would be more expensive but even the non-renovated version looks nice! We are moving from Chicago and with CO Springs being an up-and-coming city, the prices are definitely fair. The amenities are well kept and I can’t wait to see the pool in the summertime. Will update the review after being here for a few months - thanks for everything!

These were the most expensive apartments I looked at 6 months ago. I chose them mainly because of the staff. They have been fantastic! The front desk girls are kind and always ask how I am doing. I see the manager on property all the time, she always stops to say hi. The maintenance team does great. They never seem to be bothered by me even though I am sure I can be annoying haha. My apartment is nice with good views. I am very happy with my choice.

I have lived here for years and never felt like leaving a review until today. I was in the clubhouse, using the WiFi and drinking coffee. While there, a resident came in very upset over something the property had no control over. The resident yelled and cursed non stop. The staff was amazing! Everyone remained calm and tried everything they could to help the situation. I felt horrible seeing how these girls were being treated! I have lived here 5 years and the new staff is the sweetest and things are actually get taken care of now! The new manager and maintenance supervisor is the best we’ve had since I’ve lived here. After what happened I want you guys to know you are doing great! I appreciate you all and LOVE my apartment. Highly recommend***

I just moved in and I love my apartment. My neighbors are super friendly and the view is fantastic from all my windows. Friendly staff and maintenance took the time to introduce themselves and welcome me while I was outside. Ignore the negative reviews. I believe most of the negativity is from people who did not read the lease or from people who are never happy. Its apartment living so stuff happens. I got a packet on how everything is billed when I moved in so there is no suprises. The neighborhood is beautiful!

With my husband being deployed and myself being out of state when I started the move in process, I was extremely pleased with the amazing assistance I received when filling out paperwork and getting started. I worked with Gelisa who answered all of my questions..which were an overwhelming amount with this being my first big move like this since getting married. I appreciate the support she gave me during a stressful time. Since moving in, her as well as the rest of the office staff are extremely nice, professional and personalable every time I enter the office...which is everyday due to their really nice gym. The area is nice and the property is well kept. Maintenance is always fast responding and friendly.

My fiance and I lived here for 8 months. The neighborhood was amazing and quiet. There were lots of good walking spots nearby, as well as good shopping. Any maintenance issue we had was solved either same day or within 24 hrs. Also had very nice new flooring. Rent is also super easy to pay online. Only issue were the vinyl-ish cupboards, which they are going to be upgrading soon, which is good. We also received all of our deposit back minus a stain which was nice! Gelisa and Kera were both amazing and helpful! Thanks for a good 8 months!

Across the street from trails and only a shot drive to the dog park and down town. Most important is the profession/personal care given by their employees. Great mountain biking and hiking just across the street in Cheyenne Canyon. Cheap flooring, fixtures, appliances, etc. but I guess that is to be expected, atleast maintenance is usually out there pretty quick to fix it. It used to be gated, then they changed that and my car was broken into, I think they have roaming security now, I used to occasionally see them parked and sleeping in various areas around the complex. Overall, nice place, I’d pick it again. Cheers!

Pros Fantastic location - this is really the reason to live here. Close to downtown but you can literally walk into Cheyenne canyon. Pearl helped us find an apartment that was in our budget and was willing to stay late for us to sign our lease. From the time we had our tour of the apartment and finished paperwork to get the keys we were treated with the up most respect. Pearl and her staff have shown that they are there for their tenants. Expensive place to live, but a great place! You get what you pay for. With all apartments prices change daily based upon current market value, and water bill is split between all tenants divided by how many adults in the unit...which I never experienced until moving to Colorado, but that's how it works here. I had a few minutes or things that needed fixing when I moved in and they were done immediately. I haven't had to pay any more than what was explained to me when I signed my lease. Staff in office are all very friendly and helpful, Kristina, Kaitlin and Ryan are knowledgeable and professional as well as friendly.

My husband and I moved to this complex in the midst of the management change, 3 weeks prior to be exact. The customer service change in that time was remarkable. The new management is outstanding. I consider us to be very fortunate to have signed a lease here. The maintenance crew deserves 5 stars as well. Each time I've reported a concern or repair(however small) it has been addressed and fixed within 24 hours. Even something so small as replacing the battery in a fire alarm. I am very pleased that we have another 8months on our lease. We love this place and we intend to stay!

However, our lease was up right around the time the new management took over, we decided to go month-to-month and give the new owners a chance. We have since renewed our lease. We are so glad we stayed! I told Ryan, the property manager, within his first week that I felt such a positive customer service shift. The employees working truly like people, working with people and care for their experiences at the Retreat. I have seen a change of "things getting done" and just a genuine feeling of being welcomed. The property is located in a wonderful location, next to many of hiking trails and outdoor opportunities. The clubhouse is welcoming and has become our "second home" with the gym and pool facilities. The only things that I wish The Retreat had was a playground for children and a recycling station. However, when it comes to how I felt a year ago and to how I feel now living here...such a huge improvement. We are here until we are able to move into a house here in Colorado Springs... I will say, I will now be sad the day we move out.

NEW MANAGEMENT! My husband and I have lived here since August 2013 and this is by far the BEST management we have had to deal with. We were considering leaving when our lease was up, however I met Ryan and Kaitlyn the new managers who insisted on having us stay. They were so sincere and straight forward. We could tell a lot of great things were starting to come our way just seeing how they made us feel, compared to the old management. The parking lots and grass areas are way cleaner, they accept checks by hand, they are not sneaky and everyone is so much nicer! We loved these apartments for the location, but having to work with people who actually want to change things around is awesome! They also informed us about the start of there remodeling process which is gorgeous and exciting! We will continue our stay here and are looking forward to these new changes! :)

My husband and I lived there for 4 years, though there were some irritating problems throughout the complex. Over all it was a nice place to live with a great view. Yes, like the other reviews said...the gates rarely worked in the four years we lived there and at one point one of our cars were broken into. In the summer, the water portion of the rent is a bit higher than it should be because the sprinklers are on ALL THE TIME (even raining). The maintenance guys would come and check what was fixed, but if a part was needed it would go unfinished until we would call again. Students from the high school across the street would roam the complex on their lunch hour...doing God knows what because the gates remained open. The view isn't the only good thing about this place. The people are all quiet and mostly military. We had no problems living in our complex. The people below us and next to us were all quiet or would make us aware of any get togethers they were having and until what time. Just like any apartment complex, The Retreat has its issues, but making them aware of the issues will help fix those errors.

My husband and I lived there for 4 years, though there were some irritating problems throughout the complex. Over all it was a nice place to live with a great view. Yes, like the other reviews said...the gates rarely worked in the four years we lived there and at one point one of our cars were broken into. In the summer, the water portion of the rent is a bit higher than it should be because the sprinklers are on ALL THE TIME (even raining). The maintenance guys would come and check what was fixed, but if a part was needed it would go unfinished until we would call again. I have only lived here for a short time but the leasing office staff is very nice and helpful and the small maintenance issue I had was taken care of very quickly. The area is beautiful and it's really close to biking/hiking trails...very happy to be living here!
